Free workshops from the TCPA on integrating spatial planning and sustainable energy

The Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) is offering a series of free workshops on planning for sustainable energy in 2015. This is being delivered as part of the European-funded project, Spatial Planning and Energy for Communities in All Landscapes (SPECIAL), which the RTPI is supporting.

The first of the workshops is a half day seminar on Planning and Masterplanning for Sustainable Energy.

It will be an introduction to the SPECIAL project training to highlight the links and opportunities for integrated spatial land use and masterplanning for sustainable energy. It will highlight the approaches taken across England and European nations on new development and regeneration sites. It follows the publication of the first SPECIAL Expert Paper on ‘Energising Masterplanning – an integrated approach to masterplanning for sustainable energy’.
