Young Planners Cymru are collaborating with Hatch (the Design Commission for Wales young designers in the built environment group) for an event considering the Design Review process for planning proposals in Wales.
The design review service is a core element of DCFW’s work and allows proposals throughout Wales to be considered by the Design Commission for Wales’ independent, expert multi-disciplinary team and aims to help identify early opportunities for good design quality. It can also be a great opportunity for learning, growth and development of designers, clients and even the panel. This seminar will extract some of the lessons that can be learnt from the design review process of doing design review from:
- Panel members – how to review a design, distilling the priority points, how to explore and convey these points to the client/design team.
- Design team – preparing for design review, the value of the review.
- Client –maximising the benefit of the review, what value it adds.
Refreshments and nibbles will be provided upon arrival.
Numbers at the event are strictly limited. Please register in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
