This one-day conference will discuss the issues and challenges involved in managing the social pressures posed by people wishing to visit ecological ‘honey-pot‘ sites in the Broads wetlands and the sensitive coastal habitats on the Norfolk coast.  Economic pressures will be addressed as will the question of how development can be reconciled with the environment and its protection.

The focus will be on how to strike the best deal for nature without blocking development; persuading developers that green infrastructure is an asset rather than a cost; and, creating new natural and semi-natural habitats that link and buffer the most prized, designated sites.

We are very grateful to the Broads Authority for hosting this event.
