Planning for Housing - What are the Game Changers?

A Joint East of Scotland and South East Scotland Event

Thursday, 30 April 2015 at 5:45PM - 8:00PM
Large Committee Chamber, Town House, 2 Wemyssfield, Kirkcaldy, Fife KY1 1XW
RTPI Scotland

The RTPI Scotland East of Scotland and South East Scotland Chapters are hosting a joint event on Planning for Housing.

Craig McLaren, Director of RTPI Scotland and Ireland, will outline RTPI Scotland’s ten propositions to support planning for housing, and some emerging ‘game changers’ that RTPI Scotland is exploring as part of ongoing work to rethink approaches to housing in the run up to the Scottish Elections in 2016. These propositions are not necessarily institute policy, but they aim to stimulate debate and discussion on the topic and look at how we can plan and deliver housing growth the provides sustainable high quality homes and communities.

Following this, our panel of speakers will respond and present their own views on the ‘game changers’ required in how we plan for housing in Scotland. They are:

  • Bill Lindsay, Fife Council;
  • Stuart Salter, Geddes Consulting; and
  • Alan Spence, Lundin Homes.
  • Keith Winter, Fife Council, will chair the event.

For context, please see the RTPI Scotland blog post on the then propositions HERE.
