Planning has a central role in developing responsive policies and practices to identify what works best in minerals, waste, energy and climate change adaptation. The conference will examine the issues and dilemmas for planning in the context of Government arguments that investment in major schemes of more than local significance are fundamental to economic growth. This will be posed alongside resistance from communities who feel that these changes will be detrimental to their local environment.
Booking for this conference is now closed.
This conference is being organised by Sheffield Hallam University on behalf of the RTPI Yorkshire Conference Series.
