This conference, being held in association with Planning Aid England, will appeal to a wide range of people - planners, community development and parish councillors.

It includes presentations on working with communities, how Neighbourhood Plans fit with Local Plans, and sustainability issues.

The morning session will appeal particularly to Planners and professionals involved with Neighbourhood Plans, with presentations on how neighbourhood planning is shaping up and the role of planners and local planning authorities. Neighbourhood Plan experiences will be shared, with presentations from Locality/DCLG (tbc), a local authority and a rural community council, as well as our Chair sharing her experience as an Examiner for NHPs.

The afternoon session will be of interest to Planners, Neighbourhood Planning Groups and Parish Councillors. This session, commencing with an introduction from a representative of Planning Aid, will include case studies of Plans at different stages (near the beginning of the process to Examination) and of a varied nature.

We are very grateful to Ann Skippers, Past President of the RTPI, for agreeing to Chair and make a presentation at this conference on her experience as an Examiner and for helping to facilitate.

There are opportunities in both the morning and afternoon sessions for Q&A and discussion.
