Navigating the Planning System
This event will help planning support staff to navigate their way through the new streamlined planning system. Setting the context, there will be an explanation of when a planning application is required and how it will be determined; the role of planning history; together with a presentation on Appeals, Judicial Review and Legal Challenges; the impact on planning support teams of the introduction of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF); and a paper on the implications of the implementation of the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and the implications for Section 106 Agreements.
The session is aimed primarily at administration and support staff, but it will also be relevant for trainee planners, planning assistants and consultee / affiliate organisations.
