Strategic planning, as with planning more generally, must involve long-term thinking, and thinking across sectors and boundaries.
Following the success of previous PQT events, we will this year look at strategic planning in England, fielding questions on past, present and possible future arrangements for ‘greater than local’ planning institutions, policy and funding’.
This year’s panel include:
- Vincent Goodstadt, Independent consultant and Honorary Professor at the University of Manchester
- Richard Blyth, Head of Policy and Practice, RTPI
- Prof Kathy Pain, Professor of Real Estate Development, University of Reading
- Chair: Prof Gavin Parker, Director of Professional Standards at RTPI and lecturer at University of Reading
As the RTPI prepares its position on this topic and political parties work up their manifestos, this event provides an ideal opportunity to consider the issues of strategic planning and have your say.
Reading Real Estate Foundation will kindly be providing pizza and drinks following the session to allow for networking and further discussion of this important topic.
