Are we Delivering Great Places to Live? Placemaking in Scotland CPD Event

In December 2010, the Scottish Government published "Delivering Better Places in Scotland" a good practice guide to placemaking, drawing on learning from UK and European case studies.  However, despite having the guidance and policies, we are still struggling to deliver good quality places on the ground.

To address this, in November last year, Steven Tolson (RICS) and Stuart Gulliver (University of Glasgow) co-authored "Delivering Great Places To Lice; 10 Propositions Aimed At Transforming Placemaking In Scotland", which outlines what needs to happen.

Steven Tolson will talk through this recent work on addressing placemaking delivery challenges, after which he will be joined by Andrew Burrell (The Burrell Company) and Diarmaid Lawlor (A+DS) for an open panel discussion and Q&A.

Wine Reception and AGM

The event will be followed by a wine reception and the AGM.  Any RTPI members are welcome to stay on after the drinks reception to attend the AGM. New members to the Chapter committee will be elected on the night.

Arrival - 6.30pm for a 6,30pm start
CPD Event - 6.30-7.30pm
AGM - 8.00pm
