This Network event will open with a presentation on 'City Centre Development' by the City Centre Development Management Team Manager, Dave Roscoe. This will be followed by a 2 hour walking tour of parts of the City Centre by Paul Mason and John Whyard from the City's Urban Design & Conservation Team. The tour will cover a range of Centre initiatives including the Civic Complex, Manchester Central, Castlefield,
Spinningfields and the City Centre Renewal Area. We will gather initially in the refurbished Town Hall Extension which, together with the neighbouring and recently reopened Central Reference Library, are key elements of the wider, major initiative focused on Manchester's 'Civic Quarter'; both buildings are Grade II* listed.

To keep the walking tour manageable the numbers for this event are strictly limited and early booking is advised. We are most grateful to Manchester City Council's Planning Department for facilitating this special event.
