Young Planners Cymru: Heritage Bill Event

Thursday, 26 September 2013 at 6:00PM - 8:00PM
Soar Chapel, Merthyr Tydfil CF47 8UB, UK
Free, but pre-booking is essential

With Welsh Government and Cadw’s release of the Consultation Document on proposals for the Heritage Bill, Young Planners Cymru together with kind support from Cadw’s Heritage Bill Team are providing an opportunity to help RTPI members better understand the key proposals of the Bill by providing a brief talk at Merthyr Tydfil's newly restored Soar Chapel. This will be followed by a guided walking tour of the historic and charming Welsh town of Merthyr Tydfil by the local Conservation Officer Chris Clarke, ending in one of the town’s very finest listed pubs for well-deserved food and drink (the tour will end near the railway station for those travelling home).

The evening will include:

  • Guest speaker from Cadw’s Heritage Bill Team
  • A walking tour of historic Merthyr Tydfil, guided by a conservation officer
  • A ‘social call’ at one of the town’s listed pubs
