The Leeds Arena, due to open in July 2013 with a concert by The Boss, Bruce Springsteen, will bring live entertainment to life in a way not experienced in the UK before including rock concerts, boxing, wrestling, darts, ice dance, comedy and basketball. The 13,500 capacity Leeds Arena will be the United Kingdom's first purpose built 'fan-shape' arena with a striking external design that changes appearance through a kaleidoscope of colour and lights.

At this seminar you will discover how Leeds City Council, in partnership with the Arena Company SMG, and through its civic and urban design culture has developed the strategy for this iconic arena at the heart of the city centre - from concept, design and through to delivery. The seminar will be followed by a site visit to Leeds Arena and its environs.
