Will you be joining in with this year's Wales Planning Conference? Over 300 people attended this growing event last year. There is something for everyone, no matter what area of planning or sector you work in, or what part of Wales you operate - or if you work in Wales at all (you might just be interested to know how things are evolving in Wales). We welcome members of other professions too.

2013 is a critical point in the evolution of the planning system in Wales, as we prepare for the Welsh Government's publication of a White Paper and draft Planning Reform Bill later in the year. But time does not stand still until this happens, the Welsh Government is continuing with its evidenced based approach to policy making and continuing its improvements to the planning application system.

We are pleased to announce that following the March Cabinet reshuffle, the new Minister with responsibility for planning, Carl Sargeant AM Welsh Government Minister for Housing and Regeneration, as well as Dr Emyr Roberts, Chief Executive, Natural Resources Wales, will be addressing the Conference. The morning session will include a panel discussion on the delivery of sustainable communities and topic based breakout seminars will complete the morning programme. Following the opportunity to network over lunch, the afternoon will continue with the opportunity to attend a second breakout seminar, and pick up the pace with a series of 'speed briefings' to pack in more areas of interest.

The Conference flyer (neu yn Cymraeg) provides more details and the booking form / ffuflen archebu can also be downloaded.
