Will you be joining in with this year's
Wales Planning Conference? Over 300 people attended this growing
event last year. There is something for everyone, no matter what
area of planning or sector you work in, or what part of Wales you
operate - or if you work in Wales at all (you might just be
interested to know how things are evolving in Wales). We welcome
members of other professions too.
2013 is a critical point in the
evolution of the planning system in Wales, as we prepare for the
Welsh Government's publication of a White Paper and draft Planning
Reform Bill later in the year. But time does stand still until this
happens, the Welsh Government is continuing with its evidenced
based approach to policy making and continuing its improvements to
the planning application system.
The 2013 Conference programme includes
plenary speakers. We are pleased to announced that John Griffiths,
AM, Welsh Government Minister for Environment and Sustainable
Development and Dr Emyr Roberts, Chief Executive, Natural Resources
Wales will both be addressing the Conference.
Topic based breakout seminars will
continue the morning programme. Following the opportunity to
network over lunch, the afternoon will pick up the pace with a
plenary debate, followed by a series of 'speed briefings' to pack
in more areas of interest.
The Conference flyer provides more details and the
booking form can also be downloaded.
