NPF3 will define the Government’s development priorities over the next 20-30 years and the Main Issues Report sets out the Government's preferred option as well as reasonable alternatives.

The purpose of the SPP is to detail national planning policies which reflect Scottish Ministers’ priorities for the development and use of land, which directly relate to:

- the preparation of development plans;

- the design of development, from initial concept through to delivery; and

- the determination of planning applications and appeals.

This event is part of the Scottish Government's roadshow to give out information and to gather final thoughts and comments on the new documents. We will look at the emerging issues and the discussion will assist with responses to the Government's consultation. Representatives from the Scottish Government will give presentations on each document and provide feedback on the points arising during the course of the consultation thus far. RTPI Scotland will take our comments on board when compiling its response.
