National Planning Framework 3 - Main Issues Report & Draft Scottish Planning Policy

A West of Scotland Chapter event

Friday, 14 June 2013 at 2:00PM - 5:00PM
The Lighthouse, Mitchell Lane, Glasgow
RTPI Scotland

The RTPI West of Scotland Chapter invites you to attend an afternoon workshop to consider the emerging issues and assist with responses to the consultation on NPF3 and the Draft SPP. Representatives from the Scottish Government will give presentations on each document and provide feedback on the points arising during the course of the consultation thus far.

NPF 3 will define the Government’s development priorities over the next 20-30 years and the Main Issues Report sets out the Government's preferred option as well as reasonable alternatives.

The purpose of the SPP is to detail national planning policies which reflect Scottish Ministers’ priorities for the development and use of land, which directly relate to:  -  the preparation of development plans;  -  the design of development, from initial concept through to delivery; and  -  the determination of planning applications and appeals.

Both are topical issues in planning and this event will focus on drawing out and discussing some of the key issues and implications of these legislative changes.

  • Fiona Simpson on NPF3 MIR
  • Helen Wood on Draft SPP
