This North Wales Chapter event will look at recent flooding incidents in North Wales and the implications for development management and forward planning in the context of climate change. The speakers are Paul Mead and Wayne Hope from Denbighshire, Emyr Gareth of Natural Resources Wales who will set out NRW's remit in relation to flooding and its responsibilities under TAN 15, James Hooker will present a view from Welsh Government and Charlotte Beattie will outline her role as Flood and Water Resilience Manager at Wrexham CBC. Karen Potter of Liverpool University will draw on her research and look at trends and projections. There will be time for discussion and for participants to contirbute with their experiences. Tea and coffee will be available form 1.30 for a prompt start at 2 finishing no later than 5.
