It is all about the mediation of space to create place, right?

There are a number of ways the planning profession can influence design to help the creation of place but we need to work in partnership. This free event will provide an understanding of some of the tools available to built environment professionals including:

  • Design Review: What is it and what are the benefits? - Andrew Bruce Chair of PLACE, Inverness Design Review Panel
  • Benefits of masterplanning to create a better development - Neil Sutherland, MAKAR
  • Using charrettes in the development planning process - Scott Dalgarno, The Highland Council

A light finger buffet will be available on arrival.

Please let us know if you would like to attend by Friday 7th June 2013 by e-mailing lynn.clarke@highland.gov.uk or phoning 01463 702291.

Everyone with an interest in the built and natural environment is invited to attend, however please let us know if you are an RTPI member when you book. Video conferencing facilities are available on request.
