Ben Wyvis Summer Walk

A Highlands and Islands Chapter event

Friday, 19 July 2013 at 2:00PM - 7:00PM
Leaving from Highland Council, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, IV3 5NX, UK
RTPI Scotland

The Highlands and Islands Chapter would like to invite you to come along to our summer hill walk to the top of Ben Wyvis. It’ll provide a great opportunity to meet other people working within the planning and built environment sector.

With a good path the whole way and ascending to over 3,000ft the walk should take approx 5 hours. All abilities are welcome, whether you’re an expert mountaineer or never climbed a hill before. The walk starts from south of Garbart, just past Garve on the A835 Ullapool road. We will be leaving from Inverness so let us know if you would like to share a lift. Alternately you can meet us all there.

Hopefully we’ll have fantastic sunny summer weather but we will need to be prepared for all sorts. So please bring a pair of sturdy boots, waterproof jacket and a decent lunch.

So, if you are up for a wee hike up one you the most striking features of the landscape in the Highlands let us know by contacting Douglas Chisholm at  or on 01463 702262.
