Teacher Building, 14 St Enoch Square, Glasgow, G1 4DB, UK
£4 RTPI Members/ £5 Non-members
RTPI Scotland

We are delighted to invite planners to our annual flagship event - the RTPI West of Scotland Chapter AGM to join in debate on the future of the RTPI and the planning profession in Scotland. At the event you will hear from two excellent speakers:

  • Trudi Elliott CBE, Chief Executive, RTPI - Trudi will consider what the RTPI aims to achieve, key challenges it faces, the relationship between the UK nations with their varying planning systems and how the RTPI benefits planners in Scotland.
  • Bob Reid, RTPI Scotland Convener 2012 - Bob will reflect on his work to date for the RTPI, including his Convenership in 2012. He will ask challenging questions about the future of planning in Scotland and why, he thinks, planners ought to get involved with the RTPI.

This will be followed by a Panel discussion where Trudi and Bob will be joined by Alistair McDonald, RTPI Scotland Convener 2013 and Craig McLaren, National Director, RTPI Scotland, for questions from the floor.  Alison Laurence, RTPI West of Scotland Chapter Convener, will then highlight the work of RTPI Chapters and introduce the AGM, report of 2012 and election of the Committee for 2013.

A drinks reception and registration will begin at 6pm. The event will begin at 6.30pm.
