Designing Streets in the Highlands & Islands

Highlands and Islands Chapter event and AGM

This free event aims to provide participants with an overview of Designing Streets, what it aims to achieve, what it means for local authorities and how this could improve the way future communities live, work and travel. Speakers from a range of public and private sector perspectives will give their view on how they are responding to Designing Streets and will provide a closer look at the approach that one emerging major development is taking to achieving sustainable travel through new development.  There will also be an opportunity to ask questions and give your views on this important issue.

The event will be followed by the RTPI Highlands and Islands Chapter Annual General Meeting commencing no later than 7pm where the following issues will be discussed:

  • Chapter Convenors' Report of 2012
  • Chapter Programme for 2013
  • Chapter Budget
  • Chapter Committee and office bearers
