Scotland's whisky industry makes more than £5bn each year and this continues to grow due to growing markets in Asia and South America as well as at home.  Diageo are one of the largest producers of whisky in Scotland and produce some of the world's best known whisky brands. To meet this demand there is a need to expand and upgrade several of their distilleries and potentially provide new distilleries.

To help built environment professionals to understand what is driving their expansion and the challenges of developing new and expanded facilities, RTPI Highland and Islands Chapter invite you to this free event to view the facility at the Glen Ord Distillery and hear about their expansion plans.

Light refreshments will be provided on arrival.

Please let us know if you would like to attend this free event by Monday 28th January 2013 by emailing lynn.clarke@highland.gov.uk or phoning 01463 702291. When responding please let us know if you would be willing to car share and where you will be starting your journey from. If you are willing to car share, we will circulate your e-mail address to registered participants.
