RTPI East of England
The East of England has many important market towns, some of
which are struggling to survive.
This afternoon event will discuss what investments need to be
made to maintain and improve attractiveness of town centres.
Case studies will highlight the work that is currently being
undertaken in parts of the region.
Speakers and delegates will be encouraged to participate in a
short debate at the end of the afternoon.
This event will finish in time for delegates to have a walk
around Bury St Edmunds' town centre to find out why it is
quoted on the official tourism web site as being: "a unique
and dazzling historic gem".
If you are able to stay for the evening, a tour has been
organised around the historic Greene King Brewery. But hurry,
places are limited!
