Delivering Local Planning: getting the most from the new framework

Politicians in Planning Network (PIPA)

The RTPI's Politicians in Planning Network holds an annual Conference in England. The Conference will be chaired by RTPI President, Colin Haylock and includes contributions from representatives of the Local Government Association, the Planning Officers' Society, the Planning Inspectorate and the Planning Advisory Service (PAS), amongst many others. Thanks to funding support from PAS , Conference places are free and exclusively for local planning Councillors from across England.

The Conference will look at local, democratic planning in the wake of the introduction of the new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) In the afternoon the attendees may choose from breakout sessions across 4 topic themes, with one strand particularly aimed at Councillors new to planning.

The 2012 Conference is being held at The Roundouse in Derby, an award-winning Conference venue that has been created within the envelope of an engine turning shed immediately adjacent to Derby station.
