In the current climate of financial austerity, which is restricting both public and private sector funding, there are increasing challenges to delivering sustainable economic development. Pressure also continues to build on the planning system to deliver faster decisions and break the "stranglehold on investment".

This free event seeks to address these issues and present opportunities for delivering development during the current economic conditions. By focusing on the funding of new development and infrastructure from key perspectives of the industry, it will help to support and inform built environment professionals from across both the public and private sector to have a better understanding of the economic issues facing developers. It will showcase examples of developments that are exploring the use innovative funding mechanisms to deliver development.
