Consultancy of the Year Award

The RTPI promotes the Planning Consultancy Awards to recognise the contribution made by consultants to better planning practice in the UK and Ireland.

Winning or being shortlisted is a great way to prove you're at the forefront of the profession. All shortlisted and winning entrants will be provided with an Awards logo, which can be used on your own website and promotional materials.

We've had numerous requests for extensions and - because of our new, more flexible judging process - are happy to say we can accept entries up to 22 February. To confirm you're planning to submit an entry by the extended deadline, please email awards@rtpi.org.uk with your chosen category (Planning Consultancy/Small Planning Consultancy) and the name of your firm.

Eligibility

To be eligible for entry for the 2012-13 award the consultancy must have:

at least one Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI or FRTPI) who is a principal, partner, director or in permanent employment (including self employment) at 30 September 2012.
a permanent trading address in England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Irish Republic, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands at 30 September 2012.

For the purposes of these awards, a Small Planning Consultancy is defined as a practice employing no more than 10 Chartered Town Planners.

Entry process

The Planning Consultancy of the Year Awards seek to identify exemplary practice that meets the requirements of clients and the wider community and carries weight within the profession at large. The awards recognise the diversity of the planning consultancy sector and its clients and the variety of work involved, and all types of planning consultancy activity and businesses are equally eligible. The judging process will assess the quality of work, not on the size, scale, value or geographical spread of projects undertaken or the commercial performance.
