The RTPI presented its prestigious Gold Medal to Professor Patsy Healey, BA, PhD, MRTPI, OBE at a ceremony held at Newcastle University on Friday 9th March 2007.
It is only the 12th time that the Gold Medal has been awarded and the first time it has been presented to a woman in its 53 year history. It is awarded at the discretion of the RTPI for outstanding achievement in the field of town and country planning.
On receipt of the Gold Medal Professor Patsy Healey gave an address on "Reinvigorating the Planning Project". See here for a copy.
