Boyer was formed in 1985 and became a private limited company in 1990. It currently employs more than fifty professional staff and offers a comprehensive range of planning, design and development economics services throughout England and Wales from offices in Cardiff, Colchester, London, Twickenham and Wokingham.

Boyer provides an established network of highly experienced planning consultants delivering in-depth local knowledge and expertise. The practice has clients in both the public and private, including land owners, developers, government agencies, housing associations, health authorities, local authorities, parish councils, residents groups and other local organisations.

Services include site appraisals, housing land availability analysis, environmental and socio-economic impact assessments, urban design, master plans and development briefs, planning applications, appeals and enforcement work, development plan representations, public inquiries and direct access to Counsel.
