Current Planning Research at the University of Strathclyde

Urban Design is part of the Department of Architecture at the University of Strathclyde. Research is undertaken by the Urban Design Studies Unit (UDSU) which was formed in 1989.

Research interests include: sustainable urban form; urban design theory and adaptable space; community consultation and stakeholder participation in urban design; urban regeneration; street design; spatial analysis and urban morphology.
