Current Planning Research at the University of Sheffield
The Town and Regional Planning Department employs over 20 members of staff and is a renowned centre of excellence for teaching and research in urban planning. Research is split into two clusters - Planning, theory and practice and Spatial Development.
The Planning, theory and practice Research Cluster studies theoretical concepts, policy and practice to gain an understanding of planning.
The Spatial development Research Cluster focuses on the links between theories, processes and policies concerning spatial development in the economy, society and built environment.
