Current Planning Research at University College London
Research at the Bartlett School of Planning is divided into seven themes: Spatial Planning; Urban Design; Sustainable Development; Economic Development; Transport and Infrastructure; Property and Regeneration and Housing, Society and Culture.
Research carried out in the area of Spatial Planning concerns issues such as the links between planning and other policy fields, place-shaping and planning for growth. Current research projects include:
Land Use Futures
The Land Use Futures project is focused on evaluating whether present land-use patterns, practices and policies will be fit for purpose in the future.
Research undertaken in the field of Urban Design includes an investigation into the design and management of public space in London, while studies in the area of Housing, Society and Culture involve an examination of the political forces governing housing land allocation. More projects can be found on the School's website.
