Current Planning Research at Sheffield Hallam University

The Department of Planning, Housing and Regeneration has three research centres carrying out numerous different projects.

The Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) was established in 1990 and specialises in social and economic regeneration, housing and labour market analysis. Research projects include an investigation into female participation in the labour market, a migration study and a green corridor strategy review.

The Centre for Education and Inclusion Research (CEIR) is currently working on projects such as a sex and relationships education audit and an evaluation of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The Urban and Regional Studies research group focuses on issues such as urban planning, regeneration, gender equality, environmental sustainability and transport. Research themes involve urban regeneration, community safety and environmental issues.
