The Department of Engineering and the Built Environment is a multidisciplinary department employing over 20 members of staff in the Architecture, Housing and Planning programme area.
The Built Environment Research Group (BERG) undertakes research in four inter-related spheres focusing on the sustainability of Architecture, Construction Materials, Communities and Infrastructure Design.
