Making an Application

Making an application to become an RTPI Learning Partner is straight forward and support is vailable at each stage of the process. To apply for RTPI Learning Partner status you will need to complete the RTPI Learning Partner Application Form and submit documentation to show that your organisation meets four key commitments:

  • Promoting Professional Development Activity
  • Identifying, Monitoring and Reviewing Professional Development Activity
  • Supporting Professional Development Activity
  • Embracing Diversity and Equal Opportunities

Many organisations will already have excellent training and development policies and practice in place to be able to meet the standard. If you think your organisation meets the standard you just need to demonstrate this by submitting different types of evidence. If your organisation does not yet have sufficient policies and practices in place, you may wish to use the criteria to develop more supportive practices to be able to meet the standard.

Before completing the application form, it is import to read the associated guidance, which discusses each section of the form and provides examples of the different types of supporting documentation that you may wish to include.

Application Fees

The application fee for becoming an RTPI Learning Partner begins at only £50/year (for the smallest organisations and increases depending on the size of the organisation and the number of Chartered Planners employed). This fee allows the organisation to promote itself as an RTPI Learning Partner (including use of the logo and inclusion in the online list of RTPI Learning Partners) and includes processing of the initial application and the annual monitoring return.
