Our understanding of public and private open space continues to evolve. As housing densities in urban areas increase, we ask whether the quality of space can displace quantity? The SW Region boasts some pioneering examples of how to enhance the value of existing open spaces, create new strategic green spaces and alternative natural green spaces. Our guest speakers are drawn from across the SW region and will share their experience of assembling evidence, formulating strategies, establishing delivery mechanisms and creating new or improved amenity space.
