This year's Dinner moves to a prestigious new venue at the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff's beautiful Edwardian Civic Centre.

Speakers & Topics

The Speaker at the RTPI Cymru 2008 Dinner will be Wayne Hemingway, sponsored by Capita Symonds. Wayne is co- founder of Hemingway Design (www.hemingwaydesign.co.uk), which specialises in affordable and social design. In a former life he was also co-founder of the global fashion label Red or Dead and is a recognised design guru who features regularly in TV and print media. Wayne is actually also a graduate in Geography and Town Planning and has recently been very influential in numerous successful housing and masterplanning projects across the UK. His highest profile project is The Staiths South Bank, a 800 property mass market housing project on Tyneside where Hemingway Design are involved from the master planning, the architecture through to the landscaping and marketing. The Staiths has won a series of high profile awards including Housing Design Awards (best large project) and Building Magazine’s “Best Housing-Led Regeneration Project” as well as a Building For Life and the highest rating of any large scale scheme in a recent CABE audit.
