Description

The HCA’s Advisory Team for Large Applications (ATLAS) will present a practical workshop to assist practitioners from all sectors involved in delivering high quality large scale development in challenging times.

The delivery of development is facing significant challenges with a changing policy context, a struggling economy and public sector cuts to name but a few. The purpose of this workshop is to help both public and private sector partners understand how large scale projects can still be delivered effectively.

The workshop will take participants through the development process from planning policy and concept stage through to implementation and delivery. The workshop will focus on case studies to draw out key lessons.

You will hear from local authority representatives on their experience of responding to the challenges that the development sector faces.

There will be presenatations plus practical & interactive workshops to assist attendees:

•create a sound and robust policy basis for large scale development

•create a route map from policy to delivery and implementation

•work in partnership to deliver high quality of development.

The event will assist planners from all sectors but especially those dealing with the challenges and opportunities of large scale housing growth.
