At the same time as green field areas are a point of conflict in considering urban expansion and housing provision, planning authorities are concerned with developing green infrastructure and responding to local demand for access to open spaces. This conference looks at these issues from European through to local perspectives; identifying pressure points and coming up with some practical ways through case studies to address these, respecting the needs of both the natural environment and its inhabitants.
