We want your views on planning reforms

22 July 2016

The Prime Minister's vision of "a country that works for all" signals the time for a wider debate on what kind of planning systems we need.

The RTPI is seeking the views of its members on the impact of recent planning reforms to the UK's planning systems and on their work, in the light of the fact that planning reforms are taking place across England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, and Ireland, with different approaches being taken and varied proposals taken forward.

The survey and its results aim to move the debate forward and will be used to shape the RTPI’s work. This includes lobbying the new government on how planning is critical to delivering the Prime Minister's vision, creating better places, better growth, better housing and better communities.

The deadline for responses is 31 July, 2016.

The survey can be found here.
