RTPI letter to FT responding to ‘The solution to England’s housing crisis lies in the green belt’

19 February 2015

Sir

We do not support Martin Wolf’s argument that there should be a presumption in favour of development  on the green belt (‘The solution to England’s housing crisis lies in the green belt’). The future of our cities and their surroundings is going to need joined-up answers which look at housing, transport capacity, the environment and – vitally – how to govern these areas effectively. That is the real challenge to government.FT
