RTPI planning debates pack in delegates at party conferences

24 September 2013

question at party conferenceThe RTPI attends the conferences at the three main UK-wide political parties, running fringes and influencing debate at other fringes.

Kindly sponsored by Savills and Local Dialogue, our fringe events are some of the best attended fringes at conferences bringing politicians, planners, developers, and delegates together.

The speakers so far already include Lord Greaves, Cllr Keith House (LibDem lead for planning on the LGA's Environment and Housing Board), David Orr, Chief Executive of the National Housing Federation, Cllr Ashay Ghai, Depute Leader of East Dunbartonshire Council, Cllr Clyde Loakes (LGA Environment and Housing Board member), Rt Hon Hilary Benn MP (Shadow Secretary of State for DCLG), Clive Betts MP (Chair of the influential CLG Select Committee), and Shadow Planning Minister Roberta Blackman-Woods MP.

Our line up at the Conservative Party RTPI fringes, which take place next week, is equally impressive with Mark Pawsey MP (CLG Select Committee member), Bob Neill MP (former planning minister), Rt Hon Nick Herbert MP, Cllr Nick Cuff, and Cllr Mike Jones (chair of the LGA's Environment and Housing Board).
