PIPA makes new progress in Scotland

21 May 2013

In Edinburgh last week (16 May), in conjunction with COSLA (Convention of Scottish Local Authorities), PIPA (the RTPI Politicians in Planning Network) was  re-launched with an event looking at the 3rd National Planning Framework (NPF3). The event included a presentation from Scottish Government outlining their priorities for NPF3 as set out in the recently published Main Issues Report.

Craig McLaren, National Director of RTPI in Scotland said: “Feedback was excellent. The discussion was really good and there was a real enthusiasm from the Councillors attending about taking forward PIPA in Scotland. It looks like we will now hold a further meeting in September to build further on the current interest”.

PIPA membership is open to all UK Councillors involved in planning within their local area; new members can join or more details can be found via this link.
