RTPI launches new website

15 June 2012

We are very pleased to be able to announce that the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) has today launched a new and improved website for members at

The new look website has new features, new imagery and refreshed copy to make the site more user-friendly and to encourage RTPI members to use it as an important tool in their professional lives.

RTPI Managing Director, Sara Drake, said:

The part of the RTPI's ongoing efforts to enhance the value of membership and the support we provide you.

"The website, which was developed with RTPI members' input at key stages, offers quick and easy access to essential information and is part of the RTPI's ongoing efforts to enhance the value of membership and the support we provide you. Importantly, the site fully integrates all our social media activity and a new Briefing Room area brings together RTPI information on key policies."

RTPI Web and Digital Communications Editor, Victoria Clarke, said:

"A big thank you to all the RTPI members who worked with us on the new site: their input has been invaluable. Our primary concern has been getting a site that works for the members, but we feel that the cleaner design, easier to use navigation, more FAQs, enhanced capacity to carry video and podcasts will mean that the site helps promote the profession to non-planners who visit it too. Phase two of the development later in the year will bring additional features."

Members can also see and change their membership profile details in one place, including changing their personal information, such as address and contact email.

How do members log in?

We are encouraging all members to log into the My RTPI section – the green button at the top of the new website - and to check if your current details are correct. You will also need to log in to see member-only information.

If you have any questions or concerns please submit them via our login query form.
