Why stand for elections?

Being a Trustee or member of our GA is your chance to make a difference and influence the future direction of the RTPI. It will support your career development and give you the chance to work with a wide range of new colleagues. It is a challenging, but richly rewarding experience that will broaden your planning expertise and give you the opportunity to contribute to the big discussions, debates and decisions that impact the profession.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for people who can demonstrate a variety of different life and work experiences, a zest for new ideas, a willingness to speak their mind, strategic vision and a desire to make a difference – most importantly we are looking for people with a real commitment to the RTPI and its objectives.

Can I stand?

We welcome nominations from all members who are able to demonstrate the qualities and experiences we're looking for. It is important that the Board and GA reflects its community, therefore we need a good balance of gender, age, skills, ethnicity and geographic diversity around the table.

To nominate yourself or another RTPI member, visit the elections website and complete the nominations form by 21 July. Voting opens 31 August.
